How do I apply for a Gift Card Package?

Applications can be made by emailing the Self Referral Form to us at airdrielioness@gmail.com.

Who is eligible to receive a gift card package?

All applicants will be screened by the Hamper Program Screeners. Eligibility is based on income, and you must be a resident of Airdrie, Alberta. Residents of Calgary or surrounding areas are not eligible.

Important Information:

  • All applicants will be subject to screening to determine need. Screening will be done over the phone and you may be required to provide any or all of the following:

    • Government issued ID for all family members (adults and children)
    • Previous 2 months bank statements
    • Previous month utility bill
    • Previous 60 days Income Verification
    • Previous rent/mortgage receipts (if not listed on bank statements).
    • Loan Documentation (if not listed on bank statements).
  • The Airdrie Lioness Club Hamper Foundation reserves the right to refuse a referral/request.  Should you not be approved, we suggest you contact the Airdrie Food Bank for assistance with a food hamper.


Once I complete the paperwork when will I get the Gift Card Package?

Gift Card Package Distribution Day is Saturday, December 12, and Sunday, December 13, 2020.

What is in a Gift Card Package?

Our packages will provide gift cards to help cover Christmas Day meals and typically one gift/family member.






Can I include visitors in my family size for the Gift Card Package?


No. This Program is intended to serve the residents of a particular household, as qualified through screening.

Can I remain anonymous?

Yes, we respect the wishes of our recipient families to remain anonymous.





What if I have applied for a Gift Card Package but haven't heard from anyone at the Airdrie Lioness Club?

You will need to do your application and complete your screening process with a Lioness member.

Once this process is complete and you have been approved, we will assign your application a number.

A Lioness Member will call you once we have completed our paperwork. You will receive your package number and delivery day/time.







The Airdrie Lioness trusts this Program provides you with a Joyful Christmas and hopes that when you can, you will donate, or even Sponsor a Family of your own. Merry Christmas!
